Our News!

Thank you to our wonderful parents for the donation of seeds for our garden. We cannot wait to plant them.

Did you know?

Gardening can be a great way of helping children to feel empowered as they take on a little responsibility for learning about and tending to plants. Having ownership of a plant, however small, can help children to gain in confidence and self-esteem.

Tiny Talk Signing...

October 14, 2016

We spent a fantastic day learning Signing with Tiny Talk.

What is Tiny Talk Signing?

Baby signing helps babies learn to communicate before they can talk! From as early as 6-9 months babies can tell you what they want, what they are thinking and how they feel by using baby signing. It’s as easy as teaching them to clap & wave! No longer do you have to guess the cry!

A MASSIVE thank you to McColls Bawdeswell

We are so overwhelmed and thankful to the staff at McColls shop in Bawdeswell, for thier fantastic donation. The money raised will be going towards our new magical sensory garden. We are hoping to have this special garden finished by the new term in September.

Thank you again, from all of us here at Scribbles, it really is fantastic to have the support of the local community.

Flat Stan - First Aid for Children

May 22, 2016

Our children took part in a new first aid program called Flat Stan - we were honoured to be the FIRST preschool in Norfolk to use the new children friendly first aid manikins and training program.

We were also super excited that a photographer came from the Eastern Daily press newspaper to take our photos and write a story about what we got up to.

We all learnt how to find someones heart, we learnt how to call 999 and what to say to the nice lady or man on the phone. We practiced bandaging and we all got a certificate and booklet to take home!

Paediatric First Aid Trained

April 28, 2016

We take our responsibility to your children very seriously and ensure that ALL of our staff are fully trained in Paediatric First Aid.

The current rules are that there only needs to be 1 person who is first aid trained on the premises at all times- As a setting we do not feel that this is adequate.

We spent 2 days with Gary from FlexiMed Training learning everything from how to spot meningitis to how to help a choking child. The course was very hands on but fun and more importantly we all learnt valuable skills!

We are over the moon to have not only recieved out Paediatric First aid certificates but also a gold standard certificate to display to show you all that we have 100% of our staff trained!

Queens Dragoons Special Visit

February 25, 2016

We try where possible to create a strong relationship with the people and places that are important to not only our children but the wider community. We have welcomed some children from Robertson Barracks recently and we thought it would be nice to invite the Queens Dragoon Guards over to Preschool to say hello and wish them well on thier upcoming tour.

The children made them a lovely card, and there was even cupcakes with the Welsh Emblem on!

We thank them very much for coming along and wish them all the best on their tour!

Celebrating an old friend with a new build

February 01, 2016

We were delighted to be invited over to Bawdeswell Primary school for their grand opening of 'The Wright Place', named after the previous Headteacher Mr Wright.

The children had a lovely morning playing with the reception and year 1/2 children, and seeing all the fun stuff that they get up to.

It really was a fun morning and we are pleased to be involved in such a fantastic opening event.

The little Red Tractor

February 01, 2016

We had a very special guest come to see us, whilst we were celebrating National Storytelling week.

The children were reading The little Red Tractor, and who better to read it than the author himself - Peter Tye.

The children were so absorbed in the way he told the story and it was a real honour to share this special time with our children.

We wanted to share this special event, so children from Bawdeswell primary also came over to enjoy the story telling.

There was also a photographer from the Eastern Daily Press (EDP). Thankfully our children are not camera shy.
